The Hon. Alexander Brennan has been appointed to the Canning House Board of Trustees

The Honourable Alexander Brennan, Founder and CEO of Brennan & Partners, has been appointed to the Board of Trustees of Canning House.

Canning House is an independent global forum dedicated to thought leadership and pragmatic debate on the political, economic, environmental, social, and security dynamics of Latin America and Iberia—and their implications for business risks and opportunities.

For over 80 years, Canning House has pursued its mission of fostering understanding and strengthening relationships between the United Kingdom, Latin America, and Iberia.

Through an extensive array of initiatives—including high-level conferences, seminars, roundtables, reports, and white papers—the institution facilitates dialogue and promotes business opportunities, whilst strengthening commercial ties between these regions.

One of Canning House’s most prestigious events is the annual Canning Lecture, which has hosted Latin American and Iberian Heads of State and Government as keynote speakers. Past participants include Fernando Henrique Cardoso, Carlos Menem, Michelle Bachelet, Pedro Passos Coelho, Iván Duque, and Luis Lacalle Pou, underscoring the forum’s significant contribution to fostering dialogue at the highest levels.

As a Trustee, Mr. Brennan will play a role in guiding the strategic direction of Canning House and supporting its important mission. His appointment reflects his commitment to fostering commercial relations between the U.K., Iberia and Latin America and his deep understanding of the cultural, commercial and political landscape of these regions.
